A/V - HDMI Matrix 4x8 over Cat 5e/6 or HDMI

Description The ultimate Home / Office HDMI signal distribution system. No more family debates about who is watching what on which television. Each one of the 4x HDMI source inputs such as DSTV Decoders, Blu-ray Players, TV Boxes etc. can be switched to all or any one of 4x televisions located at extended locations such as Bedrooms, Entertainment areas, Offices etc. independently of each other. The HDMI source devices need no longer be distributed around your home/ office but rather 'pooled' for more efficient use (located together) The extension to each of the 4x locations is via a CAT6 cable and supports full remote control of the HDMI source device such as a DSTV decoder from each of the extended locations. Each of the 4x HDMI inputs are also selected via a remote control located at each extended location. Installation Overview (manual Included) - On a typical home installation the Matrix itself, main TV and 'pooled HDMI source devices' are all located in the same TV Cabinet or server room. In this case, the main TV is directly connected via a Matrix HDMI Output 1 (A) via an HDMI cable, 15m max - The remaining 3x TV's located at extended locations have connected the Matrix via CAT cable and the Matrix Receiver Units (RJ45 UTP outputs B, C & D). A 5th extended TV can also be connected to UTP output A but will always display the same output as the main TV connected to output A. - Each of the 4 x HDMI sources devices must have an included TX IR eye fitted. This is to relay remote control commands from the extended locations. - Each of the extended TV's will have an RX IR eye fitted to the outer frame of the TV. This is to receive and then relay the remote control commands from the extended locations. - Up to 4x CAT cables and fit into your standard 20mm home conduit. If you have existing old RF coaxial cables these can be used as 'pull wires' for the new CAT cable.

Main System Features - In theory, this is a 4x8 Matrix Extender as each of the 4x HDMI Outputs have both an HDMI output and an RJ45 UTP CAT output. - UTP extender supports resolution up to 1080P@60Hz up to a distance of 60m (CAT5e/6) - Supports IR pass though or IR source support meaning you have full IR remote control functionality of for example a DSTV decoder from each of extended locations when routed to that particular HDMI source device. - HDMI Input selection from each extended location.
