What is involved in putting the network together? • The network must to support IGMPv3 The following preparations have to be carried out:: • A Channel list must be loaded into a config file called “satip.m3u” file • This “satip.m3u“ must be saved to the sIP Streamer • The TV Sets must point to the config fileon the IP Streamer • The IP Streamer and the TV Sets must reside on the same management network.

Dealing with Encrypted Sources

The IP Streamer has 4 CI (Common Interface) slots used to decrypt TV off satellite ofroff DTT networks. These streams are then streamable over the local network infrastructure and to connected TVs. In order to meet certain content provider requirements we have an option of adding local encryption on the feed to the TV Set. If the TV has a CI unit installed, we can then allow it to decrypt the TV channels and play them out according to the rights and privilages allocated to it.
