DVShift provides real-time, user controllable delay of MPEG transport
streams. Ideal for program turn-around and delayed re-broadcast between
national or international time zones, DVShift accepts transport stream
inputs up to 50 Mb/s and, depending on configuration, effects a
broadcast delay of up to three days at full line rate.
The system incorporates self-monitoring features which can notify
operators and network management systems of system failure or loss of
input transport stream. System parameters can be set and status can be
queried from any SNMP compliant network management system or via the
built-in SNMP MIB.
As operators process more and more of their content in the compressed
domain DVShift is poised to become an important and vital part of their
arsenal.
