DVStation-IP is a new product from Pixelmetrix which builds on the
extensive MPEG and Content Analysis ability of the original DVStation -
except using an IP network as the transport medium.
While the DVStation itself has supported IP over MPEG
for several years now, more improvements in the internet and other
equipment now mean using an IP Transport for television transmission is
finally a viable alternative to telecom leased lines, ATM, and
satellite circuits.
DVStation-IP provides MPEG-2
transport stream analysis and monitoring over an IP connection. The
machine supports 10, 100 and 1000 Mb/s ethernet. Additionally, both the
ad hoc MPEG over UDP and RTP encapsulations are supported.
